My newest work combines weaving with my interest in vitreous enameling and metals. I fuse colorful powdered glass to copper by firing it in a kiln at over 1500 degrees. The powder melts, flows and hardens to a smooth, durable vitreous coating. Sometimes I match the yarn to the enamel, either by dyeing or blending fibers. Other times, I match the enamel to the yarns I'm using.
